------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. INSTALLATION

After you have decompressed the zipped file simp.zip, the game is ready to go.

The only configuration that needs to be done is for the sound system. Sim-Pizza

only support Sound Blasters and compatibles. To setup the sound system for

Sim-Pizza use the setup program called SETUP.EXE. It allows you to select

which model of the Sound Blaster you have along with setting the IRQ and port

number. If you don't have a Sound Blaster, or wish to have no sound FX then

during the setup select "no sound card" from the menus and then "save and exit".

2. PLAYING THE GAME

Once you have setup the sound card for Sim-Pizza then you are ready to play.

To launch the game type "SIMP" the game will then begin. Your name is

"Vinnie" and you are a pizza delivery boy. You are to deliver pizza's to

the customers in your area. To do this, you are equipped with a moped and a

unlimited supply of pizza's from you uncle Tony's pizza hut (located at the

bottom left of the screen).

Your mission is to deliver orders. When you get an order, you will see the house

number blink(in white) on top of the house that has ordered. Also, you will

receive a visual message on your moped's scrolling message center and a verbal

message from your uncle Tony(if you have a sound card). To deliver the pizza,

drive to the house and pull up to the curb. Then press the space bar to throw

the pizza at the house(try to hit the front). The moped is steered with the

arrow keys. The right and left arrow are used to turn the moped while the

up and down arrows are for accelerating and braking respectively. If you feel

the need, you can honk your horn with the alt key. And by the way, Vinnie is

right handed, so he will always throw the pizza to the right.

Your moped can only hold five pizza's and from time to time you will have to

re-supply yourself. To do this, drive into the driveway in front of the pizza

hut and pull into the hut itself, you will then be replenished.

At the end of the day, you will see your performance tallied up on a time card

along with all the injuries and costs that you have incurred. These costs are

generated by hitting pedestrians and losing orders by taking too long! Also,

as your driving watch out for cars because they won't stop!

To pause the game press the P key and to exit press the ESC key.

Have fun!

4. PROBLEMS

Sound Problems

If you are having difficulty with the sound system try using SETUP.EXE

to set the game settings to match those of your Sound Blaster. Also,

make sure that your Sound Blaster or compatible is configured the way

   you think it is.

Speed problems

If Sim-Pizza runs too fast or too slow there is a way to send a command

line parameter to change the speed of the game. To do this, enter a number

as a command line parameter from 0-10, such as:

   SIMP 3

The number can range from 0-10, 0 being the fastest and 10 being the slowest.

Lock ups

If Sim-Pizza locks up or won't start at all then you have too many TSR's or

there is a problem with your memory manager. First, try unloading your TSR's

and if that doesn't work then unload any memory managers that you might have.

If both solutions fail then try making a "vanilla" boot disk and run the

   game from there.
