'470' : two-men swordboat 4.70 9.12 115 13 -

The Frenchman Andr Cornu designed the '470' in 1963. This two-men
swordboat became popular in very short time.
Because of the strict rules for the '470', all boats are practical-
ly identical. As a result of this every boat has the same chance
of winning a match.
Just like the '420', the '470' has stuffed chambers. They make the
boat practically unsinkeble and raising after capsizing easier.
The '470' is a fast boat, which is very sensitive for trim.
