Lake "Grevelingen" is situated between the former isles "Goeree-
Overflakkee" and "Schouwen-Duiveland". At the West-side it is bordered
by the "Brouwersdam", at the East-side by the "Grevelingendam".
Total lenght is +/- 22 kilometers, width varies from 2000 to 7000 meter.
In the fairway, the depth varies from 3 to 25 meter. Lake "Grevelingen"
is a largte-scale watersport area, certainly since the opening of the
recreation park "Port Zlande".
The middle shallows "Hompelvoet" and "Veermansplaat" are nature reserve
and therefore closed. Via "Krammer", "Zoommeer" and "Volkerak" there is
a passage to the "Hollands Diep". This used to be an open sea link, but
since the Delta works they became lakes.
