Windows Web Font for Netscape 2.0 (Netext)
                        April 1996

This font was created by IBM Israel (http://www.ibm.net.il/) as a
curtesy for the public and is placed on public domain for the use of all
Web Users.

This font will allow you to see Hebrew as well as English pages on the
World Wide Web, when using Netscape 2.0 and higher with a Windows
3.1x, Windows95.

HTML Pages written in Hebrew must have the Meta tag included in them
in the <HEAD> section of the HTML file in the following way:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-
8859-8">
Without this tag the browser will not recognize the HTML page as
written in charset iso-8859-8 which represents the Hebrew language.

In order to enable Netscape to display Hebrew, follow these steps:
  1. Shift-click to download the self-extracting archive "Netext.exe" of
two Hebrew fonts that work well with Netscape. When your browser
prompts you for the directory in which to put this file, choose the
Windows System directory, which is normally c:\windows\system\.

  2. Now, minimize this browser window, and from the main Windows
screen (the Program Manager), select "Run" from under "File". Click
on "Browse", and then open the Windows System folder (again, it's
usually c:\windows\system\). Click on "Netext.exe" and then "OK",
and then "OK" again. This will turn the one file into the necessary
font files automatically. (There will be a "readme" file, too, added
into your Windows system directory, if you want to read it.)

  3. Click on "Control Panel" (usually in the "Main" group), and then on
the "Fonts" icon. Click on "Add" and then scroll all the way down and
add both Netextmo and Netxtpro. Your PC is now Hebrew
   ready.

  4. Go back to Netscape (i.e. maximize this window). Now select
"Preferences" under "Options" above. Choose "Fonts and Colors." Click
on "Browse" for the Proportional font, and find "Netextpro
Euro" from the list, and choose it. Then click on "Browse"
for the Fixed font, and find "Netextmo Euro" and choose that.
Close the windows and you're all set to go. Now you will have both
     Hebrew and English on Netscape.

This font can also be used when writing e-mail in Hebrew!
