*****************************************************************************
1. JOYSTICK Y-CABLES
When using 2 game pads on one sound card joystick port, be sure you are
using the Y-Cable specifically configured for your Sound Card. You will
be unable to control both players properly if you use an incompatible Y-Cable.

2. DOUBLESPACE/STACKER
FX Fighter does not function well on hard drives that have been compressed.
We highly recommend that you do not install the game on a compressed hard
drive.

3. VIDEO CARDS
FX Fighter has occasional problems with certain video cards that have
a 256K cache. We recommend using video cards with 512K or larger cache size.
Video Cards which may not be fully compatible with FX Fighter include:
RealTek 256
Spider 256

4. SOUND AND SOUND CARDS
If you are unable to hear the music, your system may be missing the audio
feature cable that delivers the CD music to your sound card. To determine
if this is the problem, plug a set of headphones into the headphone jack
located on the front of your CD ROM drive. If you hear music through the
headphones and not through the sound card you may need to install this
feature cable.
Sound Cards which may not be fully compatible with FX Fighter include:
Windows Sound System
ARIA 16

5. BOOT DISK
Please refer to the instructions located on the Quick Reference Card if you
need to make a boot disk to run FX Fighter on a 4MB system.

6. FAULTY PENTIUM CHIP
FX Fighter could potentially be affected by a faulty Pentium chip due to
a bad floating-point processor. To determine if your system has a faulty
Pentium chip please conduct the following test. Execute the Windows calculator
and enter in the following math problem:
4,195,835 / 3,145,727 = 1.3338204
If you do not get this answer your system contains a faulty Pentium chip.
Additional tests that can be performed are as follows:
(4,195,835 x 256) / (3,145,727 / 256) = 87,413.3
(4,195,835 x 2) / (3,145,727) =2.667641
(4,195,835 / 3,145,727) x 3,145,727 = 4,195,727.

7. RUNNING FX FIGHTER UNDER OS/2
FX Fighter is not designed to run under OS/2. However, if you wish to play
FX Fighter in OS/2, there are a few recommended settings you should try.
First make a copy of a DOS Full Screen icon and label it as "FX Fighter".
Next, within the DOS setting (the DOS_AUTOEXEC), you must make sure you
have the SET BLASTER command in the batch file set to the appropriate audio
card: For example, the command for a SoundBlaster 16 card will be:
SET BLASTER = A220 I5 D1 H5 P330.In the DOS_DEVICE you may insert any
XXXX.SYS associated with your sound card. The AUDIO_ADAPTER_SHARING must
be set to REQUIRED. Increase both the XMS_MEMORY_LIMIT and EMS_MEMORY_LIMIT
to 8192. For an item by item description of the recommended DOS settings for
FX Fighter please refer to the file FXF_OS2.TXT (please note these are the
settings for a SoundBlaster 16). Your settings in DOS_DEVICE, DOS_AUTOEXEC,
and DOS_VERSION will vary depending on your audio card. You do not need to
alter any settings in the DOS_VERSION; OS/2 will automatically default to
the necessary settings.

8. NEXGEN 586 PROCESSOR
FX Fighter relies on the BRender Technology which operates on a floating-
point coprocessor. Unfortunately, the NX586 does not have a floating
coprocessor at this time. Trying to run FX Fighter on this platform may
cause the game to crash. According to NEXGEN, a CPU chip with a floating
point coprocessor will be available in the Fall of '95.

9. NEC 3X CD-ROM
Some PCs with the NEC 3X CD-ROM may experience momentary pauses
and/or occasional game crashes. If you experience this problem, type
FIGHT -r when executing this program. Since the "FIGHT -r" command
will not let the CD music tracks repeat, you may not experience music for
the entire bout.

10. AST/PHOENIX BIOS
If your system only has 4 MB RAM and has an AST/Phoenix BIOS Chip, you
may experience momentary loss of you Hard Drive BIOS settings when you
restart your machine after playing FX Fighter or any other DOS4GW games.
The Hard Drive BIOS settings can be reset by following the manufacturer's
instructions.

11. PAUSE FEATURE
Prolonged periods of having the game in the Pause Mode may cause the game
to not function properly. If you experience a problem with the Pause Mode,
restart your PC by rebooting your hard drive (hard reboot).
