In addition to the regular modem play support already built into HardBall 5,
the game also supports the XBAND Network.

The XBAND Network enables HardBall 5 players, in different locations, to get
connected to one another and compete in real time via a standard pc modem
under Windows '95. This service will be launched by the end of 1995.

XBAND can match you with thousands of potential opponents, and they are all
just one button away. If your friend (or foe) owns Hardball 5 or other hot
pc games, you can choose to play them head to head over the network. XBAND
keeps track of your statistics, player ranking, and top ten status. While
in the XBAND section you can create your own personal identity, chat with
other gamers, download shareware, buy games, and much more.

The XBAND Network for PC games is brought to you by Catapult
Entertainment - the same people that created the XBAND Network for Sega
Genesis and the XBAND Network for Super NES.

For more information on the service and its availability, please send an
