JIRILINGA, a word game for genuises.

Version EN1.1 for DOS - (c) 1995 - George Jenner.

Jirilinga is a word game for 1 to 6 people.

Jirilinga comprises all the elements of good gaming: skill, chance, surprise,
and the opportunity to be nasty to people you care about. Meanwhile the
computer does its best to be nasty to all the humans equally. Jirilinga
does not pretend to be educational, but could, if necessary, provide a
non-threatening, alien-free environment for the assimilation of language
skills.

You need the following files to run Jirilinga. If you make a copy, ensure
that all the files are there or the thing will crash.

    Readme.txt      {you're reading it}
    Jiriling.exe    {to run the game}
    Jiriling.doc    {the help file with the instructions for the game}
    Fame.txt        {the highest scores}

    And the following dictionary files:
    letsLe3.dic, lets4.dic, lets5.dic, lets6.dic, lets7.dic,
    lets8.dic,   lets9.dic, lets10.dic, letsGe11.dic

To run the game copy all the files into their own directory then
type "jiriling". After the title screen you enter the players names, then
the game board shows. Now you can press <F1> for help. This explains the
rules. You can also read them in jiriling.doc, but be careful not to
change that file. Jirilinga must be run from its own directory.

Jirilinga may be freely copied and distributed. The price is AUS$10 or
LUF200 if you want a disk with the latest version sent to you.
Otherwise Jirilinga is digital busking - try it, and if you like it throw
some money into my virtual hat.

If there is any response at all I might consider working further on the
program, and even improving the naff graphics to reflect whatever
fashion exists.

If there is any interest in different language versions, I can make them
easily. It's suitable for all ascii languages with a love of the long
word :-)

The program runs on VGA and Hercules Mono. I haven't tried any others.
No responsibility is assumed if Jirilinga stacks your computer before you
saved that million dollar lyric (or whatever else) in another application.
If you exit the program properly using <F9> it should be OK.

Have fun and remember always that English spelling is a joy to be shared.
