This demo DOES have sound. If you don't hear anything (and your
speakers are on), try the following.

Do you have a SoundBlaster? If so, make sure that the SOUND and
BLASTER environment variables are set correctly. The SOUND
variable should have the path where your SB files are, and the
BLASTER variable should look something like this:

     BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 T6

The game engine tries the CT-VOICE.DRV file that comes with the
sound card. There are problems with the 2/94 version of
CT-VOICE.DRV.

If that doesn't work, or if you don't have a SoundBlaster, then
download a copy of DIGPAK. DIGPAK is available on CompuServe in
the GAMEDEV forum (under Music/Sound). DIGPAK also is on the CD-
ROM that comes with the book (see readme.txt).

You can then use the DIGPAK software to configure a driver for
whichever sound card you have. Place the resulting SOUNDRV.COM
file in the directory with the demo.

DIGPAK is more reliable, and produces better output than the CT-
VOICE.DRV.
