GRAPHIC SPEED DELAYS
====================
Due to the hard disk space required for all badge and large
kit graphics only the most vital files have been copied by the
automated routine. If you experience an uncomfortable delay
when Football Masters accessing screens which rely heavily on
some of these files like arrange friendlies then we suggest that
you copy all these files to your hard disk.

DOS USERS
---------
With the Football Masters in your CD Drive d: type the
following:-

COPY d:\badges\*.* c:\games\fm98

where c:\games\fm98 is the directory where the game is saved.

WINDOWS 95 USERS
----------------
Use the windows explorer to perform the same as above.

NOTES
----------------------------------------------------------------
If you find the main menu slow in accessing the large Kit
design files for European matches you can perform the above
task replacing 'badges' with 'kits'

Likewise if you use the real results frequently the 'stats'
folder can be copies replacing 'badges' for 'stats'

Just in case you're interested you can also do this for
'stadiums' (backgrounds) 'photos' (of players) and 'winners'
(celebrations).

We do not recommend copying 'careers' (real stats on players)
there are currently far too many small files which may use a
significant aount of space on some Hard Disks.

NEW GAME
When starting a new game after selecting the level you are
now asked if you want to start the new game with fantasy
player ratings. If you answer NO the player ratings will be set
up according to what we believe they are like in real life.
Furthermore, clubs with good reputations should do better
in the game but if you're good enough you can improve any
clubs reputation. Answering YES to the fantasy player
question will let the computer choose all such values
randomly but still in the vicinity of the realistic information.

Notes
That this feature is presently only available in the
English league version when run in the English Language.

Obviously there are potentially thousands of players to
assess in this way so you will find our ratings mostly apply to
higher division clubs. If you would like to assist us with future
iexpansion to this aspect of the game we would as in any
other circumstances welcome your input. Note we have NO
bias whatsoever to any particular club at the present time
Manchester United are very strong in England and this has
been taken into account but it shouldn't last forever!

CUP DRAW
You can view the Champions league runners up table only after
the first set of games has been played. To do this when viewing
Table F click on Scroll down and the Runners Up Table will be
shown. The green tinted area indicating the qualification places.

When viewing the European Cups and related displays all
non-domestic clubs or countries are displayed in grey while
other domestic clubs are shown in white.
