Brief Description
-----------------
From the Strategy First art team that brought you Steel Panthers and the war-
fare experts at Simulations Canada, comes the swashbuckling high seas battles
of Man Of War. Set in the age of fighting sail, Man of War recreates the action
of naval battle on the high seas. You control your fleet as the Admiral,
sending and receiving orders from your flag ship. This is a turn based
simulation with a lot of attention to detail. Man Of War is unique in its
resolution phase as you see the action in first-person perspective 3D. The game
can be played against a human or computer opponent or if you wish computer
against itself. Network and Modem play are included. There are 12 historically
accurate scenarios included in Man Of War. As well, there is a scenario editor
to create your own high seas adventure and a campaign mode.

                             ---------------

General Problems
----------------
If you are playing the game under Windows 95, you may experience problems
if you switch to another application while the game is still running.

Question: Why is there a dialog box asking for the Man Of War CD when it's
           already in the drive?
Answer : Make sure the Retail Man of War CD version 1.01 is in the drive.
The game will not run without it.
Many CD-ROM drives take a few seconds to startup after a CD is
inserted. Wait a few seconds before pressing OK.
If this still does not work, the CD may be dirty or damaged.

Video Problems
--------------
Question: The screen is all garbled, but the sound is still playing,
           do I have to restart?
Answer : Should you ever encounter a garbled or blank screen for more than a
few seconds, try pressing the "R" key. If the problem persists you
will have to restart the game.

Sound Problems
--------------
Question: Why don't I hear any sound?
Answer : Make sure you run the SETSOUND program to select your sound card.

Question: How do I adjust the volume?
Answer : The CD audio and digital sound volume can be adjusted in the
           Options popup.

Question: The volume setting is at the maximum setting, but it's still not
           loud enough.
Answer : If you are running the game under Windows 95, the maximum sound
volume of both the CD-Audio and digital sounds can be adjusted in
the Windows 95 Volume Control Window.
This window is accessible by double-clicking on the Speaker Icon
           located on the task bar.

Question: Why does the sound skip during the cut scenes?
Answer : Smooth Playback is strongly dependent on your video card speed, your
CD-ROM speed, and the amount of RAM on your system, IN THAT ORDER.
For example, if you own a 12X CD-ROM but have a SLOW video
card, you may still experience some sound skips.

IPX/Network Problems
--------------------
Playing an IPX/Network game under Windows 95 on a Windows NT Server is not
supported. However, restarting to MS-DOS mode and logon from there will
solve the problem.
