Date: September 28, 1950.*
Location: Near Mt. Chiri, Korea.*

It was a new beginning for the United Nations' forces. Determined
to keep the enemy running and perhaps even cutting them off,
General Walker orders mobile task forces to head north as far
and as fast as they can go. Task Force Dolvin, with two companies
of his 89th Tank Battalion of
"Easy Eights" and infantry from 1st Battalion, 35th Regiment were
ordered to move out. They skirted north of Mount Chiri and headed
straight for Kunsan, over 100 miles away. All along the route, enemy
units were intercepted and either killed or captured. It was a wild ride
for the 89th!*
