BLASTING THROUGH BESANCON*
*
Besancon, France.
Sept.6, 1944.*
*
The Germans continue their retreat toward the north, in an attempt to escape from France before it is too late. General Truscott has instructed your commander, General O' Daniels to bypass Besancon. German counterattacks against the Algerian 3rd Division have led him to reconsider. Besancon will have to be taken.*
Your units are ordered to take Besancon and move to the northeast.
Simultaneously, remnants of the 11th Panzer Division are ordered out
of Besancon while units of the 159th Division are ordered in to fill
the gap. Now all of these forces are about to clash.*
