Hole in the Sky*

Our success so far has been limited by our incapacity to develop truly dominant air superiority over the battlefield. You have the opportunity to make a hole in the Egyptian SAM umbrella large enough to allow deep penetrations by our ground attack aircraft. We anticipate that behind the ridgeline to the west are 2 or more fully developed air defense positions. Intelligence estimates little to no enemy armor, and a small but determined enemy presence on the ridgeline itself. Probe with your infantry first. This position resembles several we have seen, prepared by Egyptian Air Ranger units, where a combination of small minefields and anti-tank guided missiles have cost us a lot of armor. Be careful, but kill those SAMs.
