	[A] DirectX v 5.0

DirectX is a set of drivers designed to provide hardware
compatibility to game companies under Windows 95. At this time,
some hardware companies do not fully support DirectX 5.0. If your
hardware is not fully supported by DirectX, it is likely the demo
will not function. Please check with your computer or hardware
manufacturer for information on DirectX compatibility.

	[B] 3Dfx Glide 2.43

If you have a 3Dfx card, Wing Commander: Prophecy requires
Glide 2.43 to run properly. Glide is a set of drivers by 3Dfx
Interactive, designed to provide hardware compatibility between
your 3Dfx card and Wing Commander: Prophecy. The following 3Dfx
cards have been fully tested with Wing Commander: Prophecy:

	Deltron Flash 3D

Under DirectX, Microsoft provides game developers a standard way of handling
all video 3D chipsets. This standard is known as Direct 3D. Since Direct3D
is in its infancy, video card manufacturers release driver updates at regular
	intervals.

Due to the nature of Direct 3D, only a certain number of cards are supported.
Direct 3D support requires 4 megabytes of video RAM. The following chipsets
are currently supported via Direct 3D:

	ATI Rage Pro
	Matrox Mystique
	Permedia 2
	Rendition 2200
	Riva 128

It is important to note that for the best and most reliable performance, the
newest drivers for your particular video card are required. Contact your
video card manufacturer for information on obtaining the latest drivers.
Should you experience unusual video problems, it is likely that your video
card drivers need updating. See www.wingcommanderprophecy.com for the latest
	updates on Direct3D.
