                               AVENGER 3D v1.0

  REQUIRMENTS:
  VGA card
  CPU: 486 DX2 66mhz

  COMPATIBILITY:
  Sound blaster/Adlib
  CD-ROM Audio track

  INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to the world of Avenger 3d. I bet it's the first time you're seeing
anything like it programmed in QBASIC. A 3d raycaster, maybe. But an entire
3d game all in QBASIC is unbelievable. (That what my friends said when I
  first showed it to them.)

  TROUBLESHOOTING:
The game runs too fast: That is one problem that I assume will occur in most
systems. From the menu choose OPTIONS. You will find the SLOWTH option. Here
you can decrease the game speed as much as you want.

The game runs too slow: This problem is likely to occur if you are running
the game from a 486 machine. First, check your SLOWTH in OPTIONS. If it is
more than zero, make it zero. If the game still runs slow, quit windows and
run the game directly from DOS. It run faster in DOS.

The game locks up at startup: Try running the game using the /NOCD option.
This disables your CD audio playback.

The keyboard functions incorrectly: The game failed to scan the keys correct-
ly. To avoid this problem, do not press too many keys at a time. If this pro-
blem occurs, quit the current game and start a new game. That will fix the
  keyboard.

Tip: If this happens, simply save the game and then reload it. that should
  solve the problem.

  CONDITIONS:
The game is freeware, and it is encouraged that you will distribute it to
anyone interested in it, AS LONG AS the files remain unchanged and unmodi-
fied. If the source code is included, it is only for you to see and learn
from it. But you may not directly use code from in it.

REPORT ANY BUGS, SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS TO: dq@fsbd.net
Please send me comments (Not that I hadn't have enough) and distribute it
as much as you can. I need to know what you think about Avenger3d.
This is the Demo version. Do you think I should release a real version?

By the way, I pulled a stunt in the BAS file so that it is possible to run
it from under Qbasic but you cannot compile it. if you try that, you get an
"internal error near 5FA7" message. If anyone can really get to compile the
bas file, and the EXE is runable, be sure to let me know.

(Before you start playing, check the HELP section at the MAIN MENU, to know
what the keys do, and mission objective.)
