$ Creation of armoured and motorised divisions required mobile artillery units, able to keep pace with$
$advancing units and provide them with necessary fire support. Every motorised division had its own$
$artillery regiment, consisting of three motorised light artillery squadrons. Every one of them included$
$twelve 105 mm howitzers. Armoured and light divisions had only two such squadrons. Guns were usually$
$transported by SdKfz 7 halftrack vehicles. Communication was based on radio transmitters, what was a$
$necessity in case of units remaining on the move for most of the time.$
$ Such solution significantly decreased time of preparations before opening fire.$
