$ German motorised divisions were equipped with heavy artillery similarly as the infantry divisions.$
$The main armament was sFH18 (schwere Feld Haubitze - heavy field howitzer). The difference was the fact,$
$that in motorised divisions, these guns were drawn by halftrack SdKfz 7 vehicle, $
$ Heavy artillery regiments usually possessed two squadrons, each one consisting of twelve guns. The first$
$one, horse drawn, was dispatched to division's artillery regiment as the fourth squadron. The second,$
$motorised squadron was at disposal of the given corps. Mobile heavy artillery units were very valuable.$
$Such reserve units were able to provide efficient artillery support, wherever necessary.$
