$  Infantry was one of the main services.  Experiences of the Great War and of war with Soviet Union in 1920 $
$influenced the equipment of infantry divisions.  Although well equipped with machine guns and fairly well   $
$with anti-tank weapons,  they weren't supplied as well as their German counterparts.  Soldier's personal    $
$weapon was Mauser cal. 7,92 mm. rifle, same as used by German soldiers.  Infantry battalion consisted of    $
$three rifle companies and a machine gun company including 18 machine guns Browning 7.92 mm.  Anti-tank      $
$weapons at battalion commanders disposal were superb anti-tank rifles, allowing to destroy enemy tanks at   $
$range of 100 m.. Battalions could also get heavier anti-tank support from regimental A/T company and        $
$regimental infantry artillery platoon.  Although fighting with well equipped and trained enemy supported    $
$by aircraft, Polish infantry proved its worthiness and high morale.                                         $
