$  Polish cavalry brigades contained a horse artillery squadron, containing 12 or 16 guns.  Its armament were$
$re-calibrated Russian guns mod.02/26 cal. 75 mm.  Their main advantage were very simple construction and$
$reliability. The weak point of these guns was their relatively small range of 5 to7 km.  These guns proved$
$to be extremely effective against German tanks.  The most prominent success was gained by the squadron of$
$'Wolynska' cavalry brigade during the battle at Mokra, where Polish soldiers destroyed 80 German tanks.$
$During that battle, the squadron lost 6 of its guns.  Artillery was one of the main branches of the Polish$
$Army.$
