Important Notes on how to use 3DBouncy:

HOW TO INSTALL 3DBOUNCY:

Copy all 3DBouncy related files (list below) RUN 3DEdit.bas, and select option #5 on the main menu, then enter the correct path. (example: c:\3DBouncy\)

CONTROLS:

You have the game installed, and you're ready to move around in the amazingly realistically rendered worlds [laughs]. You will use mainly the numeric keypad to move. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but HAVE NUM LOCK ON AND CAPS LOCK OFF ANYWAY!

8 is to move forward
2 is to move backwards
6 is to move left
4 is to move right
5 is to jump

3DBouncy only allows 3 camra views (anymore is way, way, way too slow of a game)

F1 is the standard view
F2 is the top view
F3 is the side view (the directional controls change with this view, so be careful)

Also... I've added one more thing for more visibility:

+ is to zoom in
- is to zoom out

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Q: Qbasic tries to run the game... but the error message "File not found" pops up.

A: 3DBouncy requires that you update the path any time you change the location of the 3DBouncy files (including the first time you install the game. Reinter the path using the 3DEdit.bas program.

Q: Qbasic says "Overflow" a lot.

A: Yipes, well there are still bugs in the engine, even after the hours of slaving work over those bugs. You can't fix them, (probably). But you can avoid them. The only time that overflow will occur is when a particularly
large block goes behind the camra, creating a very, very large number due to the division. Thus, overflow. So don't
zoom in too far near large blocks

Q: I lost one of the levels.

A: Nice job, idiot... look below

Q: Don't insult me!

A: I will if I want to!!!

Q: Oh yeah? Well 3DBouncy SUCKS!!!

A: [gasps] Well, that does it... get out and never come back, you tramp!

LIST OF ALL PROGRAMS:

In case you mess something up by moving 3DBouncy... here are all the files you need in the SAME FOLDER:

3DBouncy.bas
3DEdit.bas
3DIntro.bas
3DEnding.bas
Level***.lvl
Levels.dat

NOTE: If you can't seem to find all the levels (like you're missing #5 of 10, then you are basically screwed, because the levels.dat includes how many levels there are, and the programs all depend on this value. So don't get in this situation. Also, level1 IS BUILT INTO THE GAME, so you DID NOT LOSE IT if you think you did. But if it does happen:

1. Open levels.dat in a simple text editor.

2. Change the value to however many levels you have (Don't forget to count level1 too, that's built into the game)

3. Fill in the gaps that you have by changing the names of the files.

Yes... that's about it. Have fun. And as all games... don't watch the ending before you beat the levels, you'll have yourself.
