Eternal Frost

Ravyn: So you've come... Are you prepared to hear what I wish to say?

Ravyn: I wish to tell you the story of my birth. Not of my birth to this
world, but rather, my birth into the world of darkness. So I ask again:
Are you prepared to hear what I wish to say?

Ravyn: I had just turned seventeen, and was under the employ of a wealthy
nobleman in the town of Arren. My duties delegated me as a mere helping
hand, and thus, I was looked down upon by the rest of his servants.

One morning, Anna, the inkeeper, woke me and told me that the Baron's
daugther had been taken by a band of thieves, who were holding her captive
and demanding a ransom. I was told to purchase a weapon, and go see the
Baron to accept my duties.

[Game begins - Player must buy a sword at the weapon shop and go to the
Baron's house]

Baron Renholt: Oh, Ravyn, I am glad that you've arrived. Have you news of
what has befallen us?

Ravyn: Yes sire.

Baron Renholt: Good, good. Then you will understand the favour I need to
ask of you...

Ravyn, I need you to rescue my dear daugther. Understand though, should you
be caught, I will do nothing to help. I cannot risk the life of my daughter.

Ravyn: What of the ransom?

Baron Renholt: The Ransom? I couldn't possibly part with everything that I
own!

Ravyn (Whipser): You are a cold man.

Baron Renhlot: What was that young one?

Ravyn: Nothing sire...

Baron Renholt: So, do you accept Ravyn?

Ravyn: Yes sire.

Baron Renholt: Good, good. I will tell the guards to open the gate for you.
Please go when you are ready. You may leave Ravyn.

Ravyn: Good day sire...

[Player can walk around town. Once they reach the gate, the guards will open
it.]

Ravyn: I was told to head for a place called Gloomstone. It was an abandoned
castle situated north of Arren.

I left in good spirits, confident that I would accomplish the task given me.

[Player can explore Gloomstone and fight enemies. They may also return to
town and rest at the inn, as well as buy equipment and items. To continue
story, player must reach the throne room of the castle on the second floor.
There, they will meet Ego.]

Ego: Have you come with a message, or do you simply wish to throw your life
away?

Ravyn: I am here to rescue the Baron's daugther! Who are you?

Ego: Call me Ego.

Ravyn: Then step aside Ego, I don't want any trouble.

Ego: (Sword begins to glow, possibly hum as well) My sword hath spoken. You
will leave this mortal coil.

[Player fights Ego. No choice, player will lose this fight]

Ego: Embrace death!

Voice: Ego... [Roseline appears]

Ego: Roseline, What is it?

Roseline: Id said he wishes to speak with you. Go to his castle. I will
take care of this.

Ego: Fine. [Ego vanishes]

Roseline: [Turns to Ravyn] Ah, you must be Ravyn.

Ravyn: How...

Roseline: Do not trouble yourself. All will be clear soon...

[Ravyn passes out from blood loss. The player does not find out what
happened to Ravyn after he looses consciousness.]
