RUNNING HALLOWEEN HARRY
=======================

Halloween Harry is a DOS game.

If you experience problems running the game under Windows 3.x or Windows 95
then you may need to create a boot disk. See details below on how to do this.

CREATING A WINDOWS 95 DOS SHORTCUT
==================================
You may need to free extra memory when using a Windows 95 shortcut.
In order to free enough memory to run Halloween Harry under Windows 95 please
follow these steps:

1) Create a shortcut to the START.EXE
2) Bring up the properties on the shortcut and select the Program tab
3) Click on the Advanced button to bring up the Advanced Program Settings
4) Select "Specify a new MS-DOS configuration"
5) In the edit boxes provided edit CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT to remove
any unneccesary drivers. An example of what you should have follows:

CONFIG.SYS for MS-DOS mode:
	DOS=HIGH,UMB
	Device=C:\WINDOWS\Himem.Sys
	device=c:\windows\emm386.exe RAM

AUTOEXEC.BAT for MS-DOS mode:
	SET winbootdir=C:\WINDOWS
	SET PROMPT=$p$g
	SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\DOS;C:\CMDS
	SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1

6) Select OK and exit

SOUND BLASTER PROBLEMS
======================
Halloween Harry requires a 100% Sound Blaster compatible to run.

If you do not have a 100% Sound Blaster compatible sound card and
you experience problems running Halloween Harry then try the following:

1) If you have software that initializes your sound card to a Sound Blaster
then we recommend that you run it.
2) If all else fails set the Sound to PC Speaker from the Game Options menu

To go to the Game Options menu directly run the game under DOS with the
following option:

	START.EXE /C

CREATING A BOOT DISK
====================
Please refer to Windows online help under "Boot Disk, Creating"
To get maximum amount of conventional memory use a similar AUTOEXEC.BAT
and CONFIG.SYS as shown above.
