OGF stands for Online Gaming Forum, one of AOL's online games upon which this
game was based. You are pitted against a human or computer opponent (Mage,
Fighter or Thief). Winning earns you experience to make you stronger, losing
earns you, well... death.

**************
Stats & Levels
**************

  Each player has these stats:

  HP...if these reach 0 you're dead
SP...spells use these when cast (magic-users only)
ToHit...must roll a higher number to hit other player
ToSave...must roll a higher number to save yourself from a spell
ToCast...must roll a higher number to cast a spell (magic-users only)
Exp...you need a certain amount to go up a level
Init...roll a number between 1 and Init to go first in a round

Every time you go up a level you can gain spells, HP and SP. The goal is to
reach level 11, at which point you will have all the spells for your class.

You may pick one of three classes:

  Mage...strong magic, low HPs
Fighter...no magic skills but very strong with weapons
Thief...slight magical ability and average with a sword

(try playing a 2 player battle with 2 mages for the most fun)

Playing
*******

To start, Inits (short for initiates) are rolled. Whoever has the higher
number starts the round first.

You begin standing about 15 feet away and may move closer or farther away
with Advance and Retreat. Melee weapons may only be used in close range combat
while Missile weapons must be used from farther away. Melee weapons are
usually more accurate.

You can also pass your turn if you want.

If you have any magical ability you can Cast a spell during your turn. I'll
let you figure out the spells. There are many different spells; from spells
that totally destroy an opponent to spells that slowly leech away their SP.

*************
Tips & Tricks
*************

Pressing TAB on your turn allows you to hide your HP and/or SP. Try pressing
it 2-3 times in a row.

To cast a spell press the letters highlighted. If more than one letter is
highlighted press the buttons quickly, one after the other.

A good combo is Stop followed by a Chain Lightning then multiple Lightnings.

  Beware the Powerstorm spell!

Look out!, if you are casting a spell or attacking and you get a 20...
  all hell breaks lose!
