1. HOW TO GET ASSISTANCE
*********************************************
If you have any problems, please read this file.
If you still have a question and need assistance,
please call Logical Devices' technical support

2. INSTALLATION
===============

To install WINCUPL,
1.  Put CDROM in your cdrom drive.
2.  In Program Manager, choose File|Run.
3.  Type E:\SETUP (If your drive is not drive E, type the
    appropriate letter instead.)
4.  Choose OK.
5.  Follow the instructions on the screen.

It is recommended that you install all of the executable files
in the default directories.


To install CUPL,
1.  Put CDROM in your drive.
2.  Type E:\INSTALL (If your drive is not drive E, type the
    appropriate letter instead.)
3.  Follow the instructions on the screen.

3. NEW FEATURES
***************
WINCUPL and CUPL 4.8 includes the following new features:
CUPLB:         Fixed virtual device types that had two term equations being 
               demorganized but were not expanded correctly in the pla file.

CUPLC:         Fixed some memory corruption bugs. Changed the v2500b jedec 
               mapping to configure the IO cells better. Corrected absolute 
               file for MACH devices using io feedback.

VSIMA:         Corrected simulation problems with MACH 1xx/2xx devices using 
               active-low polarity.

BACKPIN:       Compiled as DPMI to run under Windows.

Plaplus.exe     Puts the speed property into the pds file so the user can
                control the device speed rather than defaulting to the
                fastest device with Xilinx XEPLDs.

Plsifit.exe     Added new mnemonics. Improved calling of fitter from under
                Windows.
