At the lower edge of the message is a list of words with boxes around them. Clicking the left mouse button on any of these "buttons" (words with boxes around them) will cause the mes- sage to go away. The text of the selected button is sent to the standard output. Note: The manual page that comes with xmessage describes the program very poorly, and in many cases, incorrectly.
