Convenience Packages for OS/2 Warp 4 and OS/2 Warp Server for e-Business.

This README file contains information to install and uninstall
the BETA version of OS/2 NDIS support for OS/2 Warp Server for e-Business
and Convenience Packages for OS/2 Warp 4 and OS/2 Warp Server for e-Business
(also called the "Convenience Packages").

The OS2NDIS.EXE Package ONLY applies to OS/2 customers using one of the
following IBM Network Adapters:

	- the IBM Auto 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card, 
	- the IBM Turbo 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card, or 
	- the IBM Turbo 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card 2

1.0 Introduction
----------------
The OS2NDIS.EXE software package is a self-extracting package that contains
BETA-level files that will resolve "Trap on Boot" problems that you may 
encounter only:

	(a.) when you are running OS/2 Warp Server for e-Business and 
             Convenience Packages for OS/2 Warp 4 and OS/2 Warp Server
             for e-Business (also called the "Convenience Packages")
 
	     and

	(b.) when you are using one of the following IBM Network Adapters:
	     - the IBM Auto 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card, 
	     - the IBM Turbo 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card, and
	     - the IBM Turbo 16/4 Token-Ring PC Card 2


This OS2NDIS.EXE package can be executed in an OS/2 window or OS/2-DOS window.

Once extracted, the OS2NDIS.EXE package contains the following files:

	IBMTOKCS.NIF
	IBMTOKCS.OS2
	     LTG.MSG
	    LTGH.MSG
	  README.TXT

Please note that the OS2NDIS.EXE package contains BETA-level files that are 
currently being tested.  Please take appropriate precautions to save "backup" 
copies of your original IBMTOKCS.NIF, IBMTOKCS.OS2, LTG.MSG and LTGH.MSG files
before you install the "revised" OS2NDIS.EXE files listed above. 

Saving "backup" copies will allow you to replace the "revised" files contained
in OS2NDIS.EXE with your "original" files should you encounter any difficulties
when using the "revised" files found in the OS2NDIS.EXE package



2.0  Installation Instructions
-------------------------------
The OS2NDIS.EXE file contains the following files in a self-extracting
compressed format.

o IBMTOKCS.NIF      Configuration file for OS/2 MPTS

o IBMTOKCS.OS2      Device driver for OS/2

o LTG.MSG           Device Driver Message File

o LTGH.MSG          Device Driver Help File



To expand the OS2NDIS.EXE files:

1. From a command line, change to the directory containing the self-extracting
   OS2NDIS.EXE file.

2. Type OS2NDIS to expand the files.



To install the OS2NDIS.EXE files:

1.  From a command line, change to the C:\ directory where
   "C:" is the system boot drive.

2.  Make "backup" copies of your "original" IBMTOKCS.NIF and IBMTOKCS.OS2 files that
    are found in the C:\IBMCOM\MACS directory

3.  Make "backup" copies of your "original" LTG.MSG and LTGH.MSG files that
    are found in the C:\IBMCOM directory.

4.  Copy the "revised" IBMTOKCS.NIF and IBMTOKCS.OS2 files from the directory
    that contains the self-extracted files from the OS2NDIS.EXE file to the
    C:\IBMCOM\MACS directory

5.  Copy the "revised" LTG.MSG and LTGH.MSG files from the directory
    that contains the self-extracted files from the OS2NDIS.EXE file to the
    C:\IBMCOM directory

6.  Shutdown and restart your system.



3.0 Uninstall Instructions
--------------------------

1.  From a command line, change to the C:\ directory where
   "C:" is the system boot drive.

2.  Copy the backup "original" copies of your IBMTOKCS.NIF and IBMTOKCS.OS2 
    files that from the directory that contains your "original" IBMTOKCS.NIF and
    IBMTOKCS.OS2 files to the C:\IBMCOM\MACS directory
 
3.  Copy the backup "original" copies of your LTG.MSG and LTGH.MSG
    files that from the directory that contains your "original" LTG.MSG and 
    LTGH.MSG files to the C:\IBMCOM directory
 
4.  Shutdown and restart your system.
