(1)   Edit MCFILES.LST by adding the following as its first line;

FAX     USR DS 28.8k Data/FAX

(2) Copy your current MCF file to FAX.MCF and replace the opening lines
      with the following;

MCF FAX USR DS 28.8k Data/FAX 57600
SWITCH 1 0UUDUDUUDUU
BAUD 57600

DIAL 115200 AT+FCLASS=0D

NOTE: The "ATZ" PREINIT and INIT commands presume you have saved all other
      parameters to Profile 0. Otherwise, replace both commands with your
      current initialization string.

(3) (a) Issue this command from the system prompt "DB SETUP <ENTER>"

      (b) Select "Comm/modem setup" heading "CONFIG". Press <ENTER>

      (c) Press <ENTER> until the cursor is set on "MCF name"

      (d) Press F10. The first item will be "FAX". Press <ENTER>

      (e) The USR SW1 settings will appear. REMEMBER TO CHECK/SET THE MODEM!

      (f) Press <ENTER>

      (g) Move the cursor to "Answering Method". If you are using X00 select
         "H". If using BNU (which, unfortunately, does not support hardware
          ring signals, Pin 22) select "S".

      (g) Press <ESCAPE> twice

(4) Check and set the USR SW1 bats to 3, 5 and 8 DOWN, all others to UP

(5) If you _DO_NOT_ use "Flag dial" or "Specific dial" go to Step 6.

      (a) Bring up DBRIDGE. Press <ESCAPE>

      (b) Select "Comm/modem setup" heading "CONFIG". Press <ENTER>

      (c) Change _ALL_ dial strings to include "+FCLASS=0" as follows;

          Ex. Was "ATD"... is now "AT+FCLASS=0D"

          This _MUST_ be done as commands issued these headings _will_ over-
          ride instructions issued in FAX.MCF and cause _ALL_ outgoing calls
          to remain in FAX mode.

      (d) Press <ESCAPE>

(6) (a) Select "Security miscellaneous", heading "ADVANCED". Press <ENTER>

      (b) Move the cursor to "External Receivers" and enter the following;

+FCO|dr:\DB\BGFAX\BGFAX /FCO dr:\DB\FAX po Q

          where: dr = drive
                 po = modem's comm port

          The first directory address points to the executables, the second
          to where received faxes are stored.

(7) Pat yourself on the back... all done! Now tell everyone they can FAX
       you all day and all night.
