This driver diskette contains driver directories for DOS, Windows NT and
NetWare. The OS/2 driver files are located in the ROOT directory.

A DOS driver installation file (DOSINST.BAT), can help you install the
drivers by auto-updating the AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS files.

1. Working with ">1GB HDD support" under assorted operating systems

The following table indicates how to support >1GB HDDs under
assorted operating systems by changing the settings: "Max DOS disk
Capacity" & "DOS 5 Support Enabled/Disabled". It also shows where
the installation of device drivers is a MUST under certain Operating
  Systems.

* "OS/2 v2.x/3.0/4.0 + >1GB HDD" => Special care is needed to achieve this.
Specify <1GB capacity for the PRIMARY INSTALLABLE partition and leave the
rest of the HDD capacity as the EXTENDED partition. The procedure should
   work like this:

   1. During installation, specify your own installation partition and not
      the PRE-DEFINED partition.
   2. You can then create a partition of less than 1024MB as the installable
      partition.
   3. After OS/2 is installed, install DC-3X0/8X0's OS/2 driver.
   4. Re-boot and use FDISK to create an EXTENDED partition for the rest
      of the hard disk.

* If you are using a dual-boot system and would like to use SCSI drives in
DOS and OS/2, it is recommended that you first partition the drives in DOS,
with DOS 5 Support Enabled and MaxDosDiskCapacity set accordingly. (Make
sure the actual boot drive is under 1024MB). These drives will then be
usable in OS/2 as well. If you were to partition drives >1GB in OS/2
without DOS 5 Support Enabled, these would not be usable in DOS.
