AMI EISA Configuration Utility - Version 1.4b
                              Release Notes
                            January 21, 1992

This document outlines the new features that were added and bugs that were
fixed in Version 1.4b of AMI ECU. The previous version of AMI ECU was 1.4a
which was released on 11/26/91.

In version 1.4a, boards that used more than 32 consecutive I/O port addresses
were not configured properly. This problem has been corrected in
version 1.4b.

In version 1.4a, boards that had I/O port initializations inside LINKed
resource groups with a single MEMORY resource statement, were not configured
properly. Version 1.4b handles this situation correctly.

In version 1.4a, boards that contained a function whose default choice
contained no I/O port initializations, but had I/O port initializations in
other choices were not configured properly in some situations. Version
1.4b handles all of these boards correctly.

In some situations under version 1.4a, overlay files could not restore the
previous settings when re-configuring a board (all settings were returned
to their defaults). This problem has been corrected in version 1.4b.

In version 1.4a, system boards that did not specify slot lengths were assumed
to have slot lengths of 330mm. This caused a "No available slots" error when
trying to configure adapter boards that specified a length longer than 330mm.
Slot lengths for system boards now defaults to 341mm (recommended by the EISA
spec) under version 1.4b.
