Installing Windows NT 4.0 Audio Drivers

The following instructions tell how to install, uninstall,
and reinstall the Audio driver for your computer.

Note:  If you have a printer connected to your computer,
you can print these instructions from Notepad by 
clicking on File on the menu bar and then click on Print.


Installing Audio Drivers in WIN NT 4.0 APM (1st time)
-----------------------------------------------------


 1. Place the Digital System CD in the CD drive. 

 2. Click on the Start button located on the Windows
    Taskbar.

 3. Select Settings and click on Control Panel.

 4. Double-click on the Multimedia icon.

 5. Click on the DEVICES Tab, and click on ADD.

 6. Select UNLISTED OR UPDATED DRIVER and click on OK.

 7. In the Install Driver dialog box enter:
    
    D:\drivers\winnt\audio 
    
    (D is the letter of the CD drive).

 8. Click on OK.

 9. From the list select: ES1878 AUDIODRIVE 2.00.59

10. Click on OK.

11. Remove the Digital System CD from the CD drive.

12. Restart the computer.


Un-Installing the Audio Drivers
-------------------------------

 1. Click on the Start button located on the Windows
    Taskbar.

 2. Select Settings and click on Control Panel

 3. Double-click on the Multimedia icon.

 4. Click on the DEVICES Tab.

 5. Click on the + sign to the left of the 
    AUDIO DEVICES item.

 6. Click on AUDIO FOR ES1878 AUDIODRIVE 2.00.59.

 7. Click on REMOVE. 

 8. Click on YES in the next dialog box that appears.

 9. Remove the Digital System CD from the CD drive. 

10. Click on RESTART NOW to restart the computer. You 
    need to restart the computer for the change to
    take affect.



Re-Installing after Un-Installing
---------------------------------

Follow the normal Installation procedure after 
performing the Un-Install procedure.
