Installing Windows NT 4.0 Video Drivers

The following instructions tell how to install/reinstall
the Video driver for your computer.

Note:  If you have a printer connected to your computer,
you can print these instructions from Notepad by 
clicking on File on the menu bar and then click on Print.


Installing Video Drivers WIN NT 4.0 APM (1st time)
--------------------------------------------------

 1. Place the Digital System CD in the CD drive. 

 2. Click on the Start button located on the Windows
    Taskbar.

 3. Select Settings and click on Control Panel.

 4. Double-click on the Display icon.

 5. Click on the SETTINGS Tab.

 6. Click on DISPLAY TYPE.

 7. Click on CHANGE.

 8. In the Change Dislay dialog box click on 
    HAVE DISK.

 9. In the Install From Disk dialog box, enter the 
    path to the video installation files.

        D:\drivers\winnt\video

       (D is the drive letter of the CD-ROM.)

10. Click on OK.

11. In the next window NEOMAGIC MAGICGRAPH 128/V/ZV 
    is highlighted as your only choice.  Click on OK.

12. A warning screen regarding installing
    3rd-party devices is displayed, click on YES to 
    continue.

13. Click on OK in the next window.

14. Click on CLOSE in the DISPLAY TYPE window and in the
    DISPLAY PROPERTIES window.

15. Remove the Digital System CD from the CD drive.

16. Click on YES when asked to restart the computer.

17. Log in after the computer restarts.  You will see 
    a warning box that says "Invalid Display Settings",
    click on OK to continue.

18. Click on Start on the Windows Taskbar.

19. Select Settings and click on Control Panel.

20. Double-click on the DISPLAY icon.

21. Click the SETTINGS Tab.

22. Set your Desktop Area and Color Palette settings 
    to your preferred choices.

    Recommended settings: Desktop Area   800 x 600
                          Color Palette 65536 Colors

23. Click on TEST and then on OK. 
    
24. Click on YES if the bitmap displayed properly.  
    If the bitmap did not display properly go to 
    Step 22.

25. Click on Apply and then on OK.



Re-Installing the Video Drivers
(without Un-Installing current driver)

 1. Place the Digital System CD in the CD drive. 

 2. Click on the Start button located on the Windows
    Taskbar.

 3. Select Settings and click on Control Panel

 4. Double-click on the Display icon.

 5. Click on SETTINGS Tab.

 6. Click on DISPLAY TYPE.

 7. Click on CHANGE.

 8. In the Change Dislay dialog box click on 
    HAVE DISK.

 9. In the Install From Disk dialog box, enter the 
    path to the video installation files.

         D:\drivers\winnt\video

    (D is the drive letter of the CD-ROM.)

10. Click on OK.

11. In the next window NEOMAGIC MAGICGRAPH 128/V/ZV 
    is highlighted as your only choice.  Click OK.

12. Click OK in the next window.

13. Click CLOSE in the DISPLAY TYPE window and in the
    DISPLAY PROPERTIES window.

14. Remove the Digital System CD from the CD drive.

15. Click YES when asked to restart the computer.
