--------------------------------------------------------------------------- OpenMG Jukebox Readme Version 2.0 Oct.2000 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Minimum Requirements] - PC: IBM PC/AT and compatible with pre-installed Windows 98 or Windows 2000 Professional Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Millennium Edition are supported. Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 2000 Server and any upgraded OS are not supported. - CPU: MMX Pentium 233MHz Higher performance is recommended to avoid intermittent playback during the check-in/check-out operation. - RAM: 64MB - Hard Disk: 60MB This requirement may vary depending on the OS environment. More space is required during installation. Additional space is required for storing music data. - Display: 800x480 resolution with 16-bit depth. - CD-ROM Drive CD recording function has a dependency on the CD-ROM drive and the driver. In Windows 2000 professional USB CD-ROM drive is not supported for CD recording. - Sound Board Windows 98/Windows 98 SE/Windows Millennium Edition/Windows 2000 (Professional) compatible. - USB port An USB port is required to use external devices/media. Connection to the computer with an USB Hub is not supported. [Windows 2000 Professional] - Do not use OpenMG Jukebox with logging on Windows 2000 Professional by using Windows domain user account. - OpenMG Jukebox should be installed by Administrator Account Users. - OpenMG Jukebox should be operated by Administrator and Power User Account Users. - If you have dual boot environment with Windows 2000 and Windows 98 (including Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows Millennium Edition), do not install OpenMG Jukebox on both operating systems. It may cause data loss. - To use the OpenMG Backup Tool, please log onto Windows with the same user name as with the Jukebox application. [System Suspend/System Idle] - System Suspend or System Idle mode during operation is not recommended. When the system switches to System Suspend or System Idle mode in the following operations, the data may be corrupted or the system may not resume. - CD Recording - File Importing - Check-in/Check-out - If the device/media is exchanged during System Suspend or System Idle mode, the data may be corrupted after System Resume. - This software turns off the System Suspend Timer/System Idle Timer based on ACPI during the above operations. - In Windows 2000 professional please wait for ten seconds after System Resume before launching OpenMG Jukebox or starting the check-in/check-out operation. All rights reserved. - Device Driver and UI Design Selector and ATRAC3 decoder are installed if needed. - Note: These modules and the music database will not be uninstalled or removed when this software is uninstalled using "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel. [File Importing] - MP3 files encoded in Variable Bit Rate are not supported. - MP3 files with title information written in ID3 Version2 format are not supported. Depending on the OS environment, the title information and music data may not be imported. - Some other MP3 data may not be converted into OpenMG ATRAC3. [Internet screen] - When the Internet screen cannot display web pages correctly, please use the generic browser for those pages. - When the Internet screen is not able to play some music files, please try using the generic browser. - When the Internet screen is not able to download and import music files when you left-click on the link, you can right-click on the link again and select "Save Target As..." to download the file and import it by the Import screen. [Running with other applications] - Other CD player applications may cause some conflicts with OpenMG Jukebox. - Other computing-intensive applications may cause intermittent playback. [External Devices connected by USB or i.LINK] - Do not connect or disconnect any external devices during the check-in/check-out operation. [Installation Folder] - Do not change contents in the installation folder or the Music database folder. Do not change the drive letter of the disk drive which contains these folders.
