COM port conflict?

To determine if a COM port has a conflict:

  • Click on "Start"
  • Click on "Settings"
  • Click on "Control Panel"
  • Click on "System"
  • Click on the "Device Manager" tab
  • Double click on the "computer" icon
  • Make sure there is not more than one listing for each IRQ.
  • If there is more than one your hardware may be conflicting and you need to call your computer manufacturer.
