This application has encountered a critical error:
The file data is corrupt:
Program : Starcraft.exe
File : E:\Install.exe

  1. Install the latest version of Direct X from Microsoft*
  2. Install the latest video and sound drivers from your manufacturer.
  3. Close all the extra programs that are running:
      A) Push alt-control-delete (at the same time) to bring up the close program screen.
      B) End task on all programs except explorer and systray.
  4. Run Msinfo32 (Microsoft System Information - instructions on how to run Msinfo32) and send the information to support@blizzard.com

Work around so you can play:

  1. Click Start, highlight programs, and select MSDOS prompt.
  2. Type "cd\progra~1\Starcraft" (this is the default location) and push enter.
  3. Type "Starcraft nosound" and push enter.

    *You need to be connected to the internet to access the Microsoft web site.
