Why and when do I need to create the installation diskettes?

There are two cases where you will need to install eCS from installation diskettes:

(a) Can't boot from CD

If, for any number of reasons, you are unable to boot from CD, you will have to make the installation diskettes and perform the installation from diskettes.

(b) Can boot from CD but installation fails

You will need to generate the installation diskettes and make modifications to config.sys that's on disk #1.    This usually happens because:

(1) The config.sys that's built into the eCS CD does not invoke a device driver that you need in order to install eCS to your system
(2) Some drivers in the config.sys that's built into the eCS CD runs into conflict with a driver that you need
(3) The ordering of device drivers needs to be changed.
