Update server connection

The update server exists on Internet or intranet and connection method must be selected properly. There are three ways to connect.

• Direct connection

  If the PC is connected to Internet directly or the update server is on the intranet, this type of connection is used.

• Connection via proxy

  If the PC is inside the firewall and the proxy server is prepared to connect to Internet, this type of connection is used.

• Connection via socks

  If the PC is inside the firewall and the socks server is prepared to connect to Internet, this type of connection is used.
