Netlabs Odin is used when running REALNETWORKS, Inc RealPlayer with eCS.

** A. Installation  or Re-Installation *****************************

It's important to follow the procedure listed below when installing RealPlayer:

When the Real Player installation program starts -

   On the welcome screen, Click "Next"

   If you agree to the terms of the REALNETWORKS, Inc license, Click "Accept"

   Installation Path
   - Choose the folder where your copy of RealPlayer will be installed. -

   Enter the Path you wish to install RealPlayer to.  
   If you will be using Realplayer as a Netscape application you must
   change the default install path. The path must NOT contain spaces
   like those in "X:\Program Files\Realplayer". Change to something
   like "X:\realplayer". 
   If you are re-installing, it's best to install the new version to the
   same location as the old one. 
   After entering the path,  Click "Next"

   Installation Options Page #1
   Deselect all options except "Add link to Real.com to browser",
   then Click "Next"

   Installation Options Page #2
   Make sure "Keep current homepage" is selected.  The other options
   will change your default homepage in Netscape.
   When done, Click "Continue"

   RealPlayer will finish installing and might ask you to reboot.
   Select "No".  You do not need to restart eCS to start using RealPlayer.

After installation, you will find a program object for RealPlayer in the
Installed Application folder within the desktop Program folder.
  Double click this object to start RealPlayer.

Upon startup Real Player might pop up a box saying it needs to restart.
 If you see this message, Click "OK".   You don't need to reboot the system.

   Fill out the registration information, then click "Next"

   Select your connection speed/type, then click "Next"

   Select items you want in your channel lineup, then click "Next"

   Select Items you want to appear as news flashes, then click "Next"

   Deselect any product flashes you don't want, then click "Next"

   Select only "channel updates" and "cookies", then click "Next"

   Review Selections, then click "Finish"
  
   Disable Start Center    -----------------------
        On the RealPlayer menu select "View", then "Preferences", then select the "General" tab.
         
        Click the settings button for the "Start Center" to bring up the "StartCenter Settings" page.  

        Uncheck "Enable Start Center" by clicking the box labeled "Enable Start Center" (remove check).

        A pop-up box on "StartCenter Benefits" will appear, Click the "Yes" button.
  
        On the "StartCenter Settings" box, Click "OK"   

        Click "OK" on the preferences box.

        On the "Preferences" page, Click "OK" to close the settings.

  From the menu select File > Exit to close RealPlayer (so that the desktop icon can be created).

  Start RealPlayer from the icon in the programs > installed software folder.

You have now finished configuring RealPlayer for windows to run on
 eComStation using ODIN.  

If you deviated from these instructions RealPlayer may not run reliably or the use of RealPlayer
may lockup your system.  

In addition, the zoom options for the video size may or may not work for you.
  Only the default 1x setting  works reliably.  The 2x setting may display the
 video upsidedown and backwards.  The fullscreen setting is completely
 unreliable at this point.

** B. Netscape Helper Application ********************************

How do I manually configure Netscape Communicator 4.0x - 4.7x to work
 with RealPlayer 8 for Windows?

     1. Start Netscape Communicator. 
     2. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences. 
     3. Double-click Navigator to expand the list. 
     4. Select Applications. 
     5. Scroll to see if the RealPlay File type is listed. 

           -- If the file type is listed, select it and click the Edit button.
           -- If the file type is not listed, click the New Type button. 

     6.Enter the following information in the appropriate fields: 

              Description of Type RealAudio File
              Extension .ra, .ram
              MIME Type audio/x-pn-realaudio

     7. For "Application to use", click the Browse button and locate the
        Realplay.exe.cmd file. This file was created by the eCS installer
        and should be located at x:\eCS where x: is your system boot drive.
 
     8.Click OK. 

    Repeat the steps above for each of the file types whose information
    is listed below. 

                     Description of Type RealAudio File
                     Extension .ra, .ram
                     MIME Type audio/vnd.rn-realaudio

                     Description of Type RealVideo File
                     Extension .rv
                     MIME Type video/vnd.rn-realvideo

                     Description of Type RealMedia File
