98lite III Russian Language File ================================ Russian README are in file README.WIN - Windows encoding README.DOS - DOS encoding Place the 98lang.dat file in the folder that contains 98lite.exe Russian screen driver must be loaded to view messages in russian - for example driver DISPLAY.SYS for DOS/WINDOWS. Standard boot disks from russian versions of Windows 95/98 do it automaticaly. If you don't use any russian screen driver - add this lines in the configuration files: CONFIG.SYS: device=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\display.sys con=(ega,,1) AUTOEXEC.BAT: mode con codepage prepare=((866) C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\ega3.cpi) mode con codepage select=866 NOTE: instead of C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\ use path that contains files DISPLAY.SYS and EGA3.CPI, file MODE.COM must be placed in the root directory or in the some directory, listet in the PATH command.
