This driver supports the Procom Technology ISA SCSI Xelerator.


1. The following ISA SCSI Xelerator Memory Select settings should NOT
   be used due Posibole to I/O port conflicts:
     C8000h-C9FFFh (320h-33Fh): Supported SCSI driver conflict
     CC000h-CDFFFh (280h-29Fh): Causes system to hang when loading mxi.sys
     D4000h-D5FFFh (1C0h-1DFh): Possible VGA driver conflict

   Suggested Memory Select settings:
     D0000h-D1FFFh (240h-25Fh)
     D8000h-D9FFFh (180h-19Fh)
     DC000h-DDFFFh (140h-15Fh)



To install Windows NT using this adapter:

1--Copy all files from this directory to a blank formatted floppy in drive A:.
2--Label this disk "procom SETUP"
3--Boot the computer with the Boot Floppy included with Windows NT.
4--Press ENTER to install Windows NT.
5--Select Custom Setup.  Please read your Windows NT manual on Custom Setup.
6--After Windows NT scans for SCSI adapters, press "S" to add an adapter.
7--Select "Other (requires disk provided by hardware manufacturer)".
8--Insert the disk labeled "procom SETUP" into drive A: and press ENTER.
9--Follow the normal Custom Setup installation procedure.


To add support for these drives to an existing Windows NT installation:
1--Copy all files from this directory to a blank formatted floppy in drive A:.
2--Label this disk "procom SETUP"
3--Run the Windows NT SETUP application.
4--Select "ADD/REMOVE SCSI adapters" from the "OPTIONS" menu.
5--Click on the "ADD" button.
6--Select the option "Other (requires a disk from a hardware manufacturer)".
7--Insert the "procom SETUP" disk into drive A: and press ENTER.
8--Select the driver option provided, and press ENTER.
9--Select "Install" and then "Continue".
10-Select "Close", and exit setup.  You will need to restart Windows NT.


Additional Notes:

This driver is not supported on Multi-Processor computers.
