The online version of the Windows NT(TM) Server documentation is located on the Windows NT Server compact disc. To view the online books from Program Manager, you must first create a program item for them. To create a program item for the online books 1. Start Windows NT Server. 2. Insert the Windows NT Server compact disc in the CD-ROM drive. 3. In Program Manager, open the program group to which you want to add the Online Books icon. You may want to use a common group rather than a personal group so that anyone who logs on can view the books. 4. From the File menu, choose New to display the New Program Object dialog box. Then select the Program Item option and choose OK. The Program Item Properties dialog box appears. 5. In the Description box, type a description such as Online Books. 6. In the Command Line box, type the program name, including its path and extension. For example, if you want to keep the document files only on the compact disc in drive D, you would type: d:\support\books\server.hlp If you want to keep the files on your hard disk, create a directory for them, and then copy all the files from the compact disc to that directory. You can then use that path in the Command Line box. 7. Choose OK. The dialog box closes, and a generic Help icon appears in the chosen group. To change to the Online Help icon 1. Select the Online Help program item. 2. From the File menu, choose Properties. 3. In the Program Item Properties dialog box, choose the Change Icon button. 4. In the File Name box, type the path to BOOKS.ICO on the compact disc, for example d:\support\books\books.ico, and choose OK. 5. Choose OK.
