INI-9100/9100W Windows-NT device driver Installation ==================================================== FILES YOU NEED: script files for installation: txtsetup.oem, oemsetup.inf, disk1. device driver: ini910.sys INSTALLATION: A: Install Windows-NT on a hard drive from the INI-9100/9100W SCSI Host adapter : ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. If you are installing Windows-NT from a floppy drive, locate the Windows-NT Disk 1 for Floppy Installation. Make a backup copy of this diskette. 2. If you are installing Windows-NT from a CD-ROM drive, locate the Windows-NT Setup Disk for CD-ROM Installation. Make a backup copy of this diskette. 3. Put the disk into drive A and turn on your computer. 4. Follow the instruction, select "CUSTOM SETUP". 5. Select "OTHER" from the list of "Additional Scsi Adapters". A message will appear on screen stating that, "Requires disk provided by a hardware manufacture". Insert the diskette containing INI-9100/9100W device driver and press ENTER. 6. WIndows-NT will interpret txtsetup.oem and oemsetup.inf script files and load ini910.sys driver to xxx/system32/drivers directory. ( Assume xxx is the root directory for WIndows-NT). B: Adding INI-9100/9100W host adapter to existing Windows-NT booted from IDE drive or different type of host adapter: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Boot up Windows-NT. 2. Select "Windows NT SetUp" from the "MAIN" group. 3. Select "Options". 4. Select "Add/remove SCSI Adapters" from the list of available options. 5. Select "Add" to add a host adapter driver. 6. Select "Others" from the list of driver providers. 7. Insert INI-9100/9100W driver diskette into drive A: then select "OK". 8. WIndows-NT will interpret txtsetup.oem and oemsetup.inf script files and load ini910.sys driver to xxx/system32/drivers directory. ( Assume xxx is the root directory for WIndows-NT). 9. Exit the Windows-NT Setup program and reboot the system to include the INI-9100/9100W driver for Windows-NT in the initialization routine. -C: Updating device driver ini910.sys: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ( Assume "xxx" is the system root directory of the Windws NT ) 1. Copy new ini910.sys to xxx/system32/drivers. 2. If Boot drive is a SCSI drive, and you are using WIndows-NT 3.1, (You don't need this step for Windows-NT 3.5) a. Type "attrib -r -s -h c:\ntbootdd.sys" b. Copy new ini910.sys to c:\ntbootdd.sys. c. Type "attrib +r +s +h c:\ntbootdd.sys". 3. Reboot the system.
