ERS NT, Emergency Recovery System Windows NT ********* Install the VB5run from the VB5run.zip first, then install ERS NT from the ersnt.zip.next Notes: ----- If you have a command line in the Autoexec.bat to delete Win95 temporary files in the C:\Windows\Temp upon startup then the VB5run update will not take affect if it prompts you to restart computer because the computer DLLs are outdated. Remove the line from the Autoexec.bat when you are installing programs that requires a reboot. The DLL update is supplied by Microsoft, makes Win95 year 2000 ready and required to run any Visual Basic 5 program. INSTALLATION: ----------- There is two zip files in the ersnt.zip. Install the VB5run from the VB5run.zip first, then install ERS NT from the ersnt.zip.next. Unzip and place into a temporary folder, double click Setup.exe, and select the desired drive. Then click the Install button. ERS NT installs in any drive with no path option because it has to be accessed in MS-DOS. REINSTALL: --------- Take care to see that the correct drive to the previous installation is shown in the drive window. When reinstalling, don't delete the previous {older} Ersnt directory. Merely selecting the "Reinstall" command, it will update and replace all files and recreate any missing folders. UNINSTALL: ---------- Open ErsNT.exe and select to delete all backups then delete the entire ErsNT directory and shortcut in the StartMenu. UNINSTALLING the VB5run: -------------------------------- To Un-install, go to the Control Panel \ Add Remove Programs, scroll down to VB5run and click uninstall.
