To create a job, follow these steps:
- From the Norton System Center Console, right-click the Jobs node to
open the context menu.
- Choose New, then Job to open the New Job dialog box.
- Enter a description for the job in the Job Name text box to help you
identify it when it appears in a list.
- Do one of the following:
- Choose an existing software distribution package from the drop-down
list box.
- Click Edit to create a new software distribution package.
- Do one of the following to specify target machines:
- For Windows 95/98/NT machines on Microsoft networks, click Add to choose
target machines from the tree control, or enter machine names or IP addresses directly.
- For Windows 95/98/NT machines on Novell and other non-Microsoft networks,
click Import to use a text list of machines that you’ve created in advance.
- When the information is complete, click OK to save the job.
