Please read these tips through carefully, before
beginning to work with StarOffice 3.1.

Internet Access with StarOffice 3.1
---------------------------------------------------------

Prerequisite for the use of the Internet function is
an existing Internet access with an Online service
or provider, and a correctly installed TCP/IP protocol.

Tips for a successful installation
---------------------------------------------------------

You should have at least 5 MB free hard disk
space available on your system drive, plus around
10 MB on the drive for the storage files. The
environment variables "TEMP=" or "TMP" in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT must  refer to existing
directories. An additional 10 MB should be free if
StarOffice is to be installed on this directory as well.

Problems with printing
------------------------------------------------------------

Our experiences have shown that not all printer
drivers of various operating systems perform faultlessly.
This problem occurs mostly only with special functions
such as when printing various graphic formats. 

If problems of this type should occur. please ask your
printer manufacturer about the availability of updated
printer drivers.

Deinstallation
------------------------------------------------------------

During a deinstallation, all program files will be
deleted, except for the Setup program. Please note
that a deinstallation will also delete any files you
have modified.
