INSTALLATION TROUBLESHOOTING AND FAQ:
***************************************************************************

? Software Manager is not behaving as it should according to the installation
  instructions.

Software Manager is very customizable as determined by the
/var/inst/.swmgrrc file. You should try removing this file
and restarting Software Manager to ensure that Software Manager
	is in default mode.

? How much disk space does Studiopaint need?

Studiopaint installation needs approximately 300mb of free space.
You may need to remove other software from your system to
make room for Studiopaint. This can be done from within Software Manager
(swmgr) by using the 'Manage Software' command.

? Why do I have conflicts and how do I resolve them?

There are many reasons for conflicts. Details about the
conflict/s are available by clicking on the conflict button.

The installation procedure is dependent on loading a selections file
which overrides the default product selections and thus reduces the
chances of having conflicts. The two things listed below will prevent
the selections file from loading and guarantee that you have conflicts.

*Selecting the "Default Installation" button in Software Manager
at any time during the installation procedure.

*Selecting the "Cancel" button when the 'Software Manager -
Installation Startup Script' window pops up, always select the
	"OK" button.

? Somehow I have messed up the installation and I don't know
where I'm at in the installation process ---what should I do?

At any time when you are unsure of where you are at just hit the
'Lookup' button and re-select the Studiopaint Distribution. This will
re-load the selections file and put you right at step 1 in the
	installation procedure.

? How do I remove Studiopaint and all supporting files?

	Start Software Manager(swmgr)
	Choose 'Manage Installed Software
	Select 'Alias|Wavefront Studiopaint'
	Click Start

MISCELLANEOUS INSTALLATION NOTES
*****************************************************************************

- INSTALLING INTO NON-/USR FILESYSTEM

If you need to install into a non /usr filesystem you need to make a
soft link to the other filesystem.
e.g., you want to install into /freespace you would:
        mkdir /freespace/aw
        cd /usr
        ln -s /freespace/aw .

or if you just wanted to put Studiopaint on a non /usr filesystem and already
had other AW products on /usr/aw you could:

        mkdir /freespace/studiopaint9.5
        cd /usr/aw
        ln -s /freespace/studiopaint9.5 .

If /usr does not have enough free space to install Studiopaint you may get a
space error even if you are installing to a different filesystem. To get
around this type the following:

In inst type at the Inst> prompt:

set override_space_check true

In Software Manager

Make sure you have enough space in the filesystem you are installing into
before setting this variable as no space checking at all will be done.
