The player also supports the Flash 6 microphone capabilities. If you are concerned about the associated privacy issues please visit: http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/help/settings/ http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/help/localinfo/ ======================================================================== Internationalization ======================================================================== The Flash players are internationalized for a number of languages. The players determine the language setting from the environment variable LANG. If LANG is not set the players will default to English. Note: Internationalization and Localization have not been fully tested on HP-UX To set LANG in .bashrc: LANG=spanish ; export LANG or .cshrc setenv LANG es These locales are currently recognized: ========================================================================== Language | Set LANG to | Or | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- English | C, LC, POSIX, english | en_* | German | de, deutsch, german | de_* | Spanish | spanish | es_* | French | français, french | fr_BE, fr_CA, fr,FR, fr_LU | Italian | italian | it_IT, it_CH | Swedish | swedish | sv_FI, sv_SE | Portuguese | portuguese | pt_BR, pt_PT | Japanese | japanese | ja_JP | Korean | korean | ko_KR | Chinese Simp | - | zh_CN | Chinese Trad | - | zh_TW | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To see the many options for en, de and es: locale -a | grep en locale -a | grep de locale -a | grep es ======================================================================== Dependencies ======================================================================== Patch PHCO_28112 is necessary for full Unicode support in the Flash Player. Netscape 7 and Mozilla already require that GTK library version 1.4.gm.38 be installed. If these libraries are in standard HP-UX directories (/lib or /opt/gnome/lib) all will work fine. If they are in a non-standard location you must add this location to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH e.g. setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH ${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:/some/other/path B2000 machines may notice sound irregularities in some movies. Apply patches PHKL_28253, PHSS_28547, PHSS_28548 to fix this issue. A reboot may be necessary after applying the patch. ======================================================================== Release Notes ======================================================================== Flash Communication Server (camera + microphone) functionality is supported as follows on HP-UX: No support on Netscape 4.x Microphone only support on Netscape 7 and Mozilla There is a known issue [TEF200305080003061911650548] with Flash Communication Server functionality regarding recording sound for later playback. This functionality works for original record and playback, but subsequent recording is done at the wrong sample rate, noticeable as slowed playback. Pause/Resume of Flash movies through JavaScript is not supported. Internationalization and Localization have not been fully tested on HP-UX Dynamic transparency in embedded movies is not currently supported. ======================================================================== New in this release ======================================================================== Fixed a problem with distorted colors / images running the player in 16-bit color. Removed obsolete installation section in this README. Fixed a problem with the player not reporting the correct MIME type to the browser when multiple plugins were loaded. Fixed excessive CPU consumption while playing some Flash movies. Fixed crash when going back and forth between Flash movies on slower systems.
