DEMO (temporary) Licenses Included With Release
-----------------------------------------------
In order to allow immediate use of this release, DEMO
licenses have been included (via sticker attached to
the product).

Please, note the expiration date specified in the
DEMO licenses. It is important to follow the instructions
specified on the product sticker, to obtain the appropriate
permanent license(s) prior to the DEMO expiration date.

To Install the DEMO licenses:

    1. Add the DEMO FEATURE Lines to either an existing
        "license.dat" file, or to a "license.dat" file
you create in the Rose_Location/config directory
        of your release.

Edit the license.dat file by adding the DEMO FEATURE Lines
(or, replacing the existing expired FEATURE Lines if
        appropriate).

    2. Complete installation by running "post_install" (it is not
        necessary to run start_lm):

-- Make sure post_install is pointing to the
              correct license.dat file.

-- Complete the rest of post_install

Once Installation Complete:

-- Upon running "rose", you will see a message box which
indicates that the licenses will expire in "X" number of days
(also, specifies the license termination date).

Initial Runtime Instructions When Upgrading
-------------------------------------------
Any user running a previous version of Rose, should
do the following - prior to running Rational Rose 98
for Unix (4.5.8153):

-- kill their existing windu* daemons

        -- Rename $HOME/.rose.ini to $HOME/.rose.ini.bak
           (to save any .rose.ini customizations)

-- Make sure $HOME/.rose.ini is removed (if not,
           remove $HOME/.rose.ini)

It is only necessary to perform these steps once - prior
to running this version of Rose 98 for Unix.

Upon running the Rose release, a new .rose.ini
file will be created. Customizations may then be
added to this file, as required.
