This diskette is the only installation diskette necessary to install an Digi Link Service using Windows NT SNA Server. Please invoke the SNA Server setup program and Click "Continue". At the Options Menu, click "Links". At the Link Service Installation Dialog, click "Other.." (Assuming that there are no other services installed. If any are installed, then click "Add..."). Now you should have the New Link Service Path A:\, click "Continue". The Setup Program updates the available Link Services. Scroll down to the Digi SDLC Link Service (At this time, the Digi SDLC Link Service appears at the bottom of the list because it is bracketed as follows: [Digi SDLC ...]). Click Install and Digi Link Service Installation should greet you. Please read the Help files should you have questions. The following files exist on the Arnet Installation Diskette: DIGISDLC.INF: Setup Script File. DIGISDLC.SRL: Setup Reseouce Library. DIGISDLC.HLP: Digi Setup Help File. DIGISVC.DLL: Digi Specific DLL. DIGIREAD.TXT: This file. \DIGISDLC\DIGISYNC.SYS: The Digi Sync/570 Device Driver Binary. \DIGISDLC\MSVCRT20.DLL: A DLL that has to exist in order for ARNSVC.DLL to load. WARNING: -------- Please make sure that you remove any old Arnet or Digi Sdlc services via the SNA Server Setup Program's Links management utility BEFORE installing the new driver. WARNING: -------- If you are running an older version of the IBMSDLC.DLL data link service, you may experience DLC OUTAGE errors in the link service. This is true if you only have a single port configured on a 4 port card. This problem has been identified an corrected in a subsequent service pack release of the IBMSDLC.DLL link service. To work around this problem, simply configure a second port of the card using the SNA Server setup program (e.g. configure port 2 of the card identified by IO Base address 310 if you have previously configured port 1 of the card at IO Base address 310). This will allow the driver and link service to operate properly.
