In conjunction with Microsoft SNA Server 2.11 J, StarSQL 1.05 includes character code conversion that allows one to access tables on a Japanese host. To access this feature, you need to be running Windows 3.1J or Windows 3.5 NT J (or later) on your PC. In the Japanese version, the AutoTypDefOvr default in the swodbc.ini file has been changed from 500,0,0 to 290,4396, 5026. These CCSIDs are common defaults for a Japanese host.
