TCP/IP Configuration Notebook Online Help
Use this page to change the TCP/IP Administrator password for
this computer--but only if you are accessing this TCP/IP Configuration
Notebook locally (this page will not appear in the TCP/IP Configuration
Notebook if access is remote). The TCP/IP administrator uses this
password to access any TCP/IP Java-enabled graphical user interfaces on this
computer. These interfaces handle local and remote TCP/IP
configuration, DDNS server administration, DHCP server configuration, and DHCP
server management. When these interfaces are invoked, they prompt for
the host name and TCP/IP administrator password for this computer.
Alternatively, the administrator password for this computer may be reset
using the local ADMIN_PW utility, which you can start by double-clicking the
Create TCP/IP Administrator Password icon in the TCP/IP Configuration folder,
or by entering admin_pw on an OS/2 command line.
